Remembering the Good Old Days Part II: The trip to Snow City

OK, part II. Again, it was a normal day, just after our PSLE exams.
We were ready to go to snow city YAY! We paid $5 each on the bus there but first,
before boarding the bus XD. Here goes.....

The bus was called in to come at De La Salle at 8pm. 8pm was the time when all primary 6 pupils were at the respective chinese classes. So 6G was scattered. 6F chinese class was called in first. Followed by 6B (my class XD). 6D was missing but I knew where they were so I told them.

We changed into our thick clothes. Long sleeves and long pants/jeans. 6D then changed and we were ready to go to Snow City YAY! The bus finally came and we boarded the bus cause it was really damn hot waiting for it to come. Ms. Devi went around to take pictures of us. My best friend, Wei Zhi and I sat somewhere in front and behind us was Joseph and friend. Joseph is our friend cum gangsta and freak of Star Wars like us. Also likes Gundam SEED like me. He acted like a terrorist and covered my mouth with his gloves. Something was wrong actually. We were already freezing throughout the journey...That means it will be 10 times worse in Snow City. OMG. The journey was damn long.

We jumped off the bus and headed towards the freezing place >.<>

6G was called in to the chamber room (I don't know what it was called.....but it's the entrance to Snow City). Another class was called into the room. There, we waited for like 20 minutes? We could see the vapor when we breathed out. It was -5 degrees according to the thermometre.

Finally, one of the staff members came in. But when we thought we were going inside, he talked to us about the rules and regulations, safety measures blah blah blah. After that long talk, we finally went in! My first impression of Snow City was big, huge massive. But inside it was small. The first attraction point my friends and I wanted to visit was the slide XD. We ran there and waited for our turns.

It cold there. I almost had a frostbite. I couldn't speak properly and I almost can't breathe in. When we reached the summit of the hill, we were given a tyre. We sat in a staight line holding hands. We sat on the tyre and on the count of three, we were pushed down. Fun! We only went on the slide 2 times only. The second time was at the very last part when we were called to exit the area. The second time, my other friend let go of my hand so they pulled the rest along. Picture this. We were not supposed to go down but my friend went first down first pulling down everyone. Somewhat in the middle, he let go of my hand. So there were two lines of crazy people coming down.

After the first slide, we wanted to have a snowball fight. Yay. The snow was so hard that we had to crush them with our hands until it was soft. There was a box of soft, flattened snow for people who were very lazy. Just crushing the ice made my hands freeze. My gloves were not secured properly and they flew out when i threw out the third snowball. Damn my hands were freezing that me and my friend withdrew from the fight and headed for the shelter (igloo) to warm ourselves. Somehow, a snowball went in....Ouch.

We went out when we were warm and resumed. The battlefield changed from the main field to the fort. My friends and I went to the fort and began throwing. The people downstairs cheated lots of times. They threw hard snowballs. You could have heard the loud clank when the snowball hit the metal railings of the fort. Whistles from the staff were constantly heard to stop the violent snowball but who listens to them anyway?!

However one time, I was about to throw one snowball when a cheater directly hit my spectacles with a hard snowball. My eye hurt so me and my friend once again, withdrew from the fierce and violent battle to the cute little snowman over there. Joseph was there also just watching the "war". He asked what happened and of course, I told him. After resting for a minute, wei zhi and I took part in Operation: Hit Stanrly and Make Him Cry. Joseph participated. We threw hard snowballs at him and hit but he thought it was his friend that did it.

By the way, Stanrly was out archenemy, or nemesis if you want. My friends and I created SMRT. Check it out sometime. Joseph than took the wooden stick from the snowman which was his nose and tried to throw it at Stanrly but missed. Then he tried to stick it back at the snow man but couldn't so he just threw it somewhere.

We stayed at snow city for quite some time then it was time to leave the area. We pretended not to hear and thats when we went to the slide the second time. After going on the slide, there was no more fun since no one was there anymore.

Big mistake. Now there was a long long long long line of people buying food. We gave up and changed back to our original clothes. Then we joined in the line. We waited for about 35 minutes? We bought abalone cup noodles. Yum. We actually very very late as we were supposed to eat and go to the Ice-Cream Making Workshop.

We quickly ate but most people finished by then. 3 people were left. Me and some 2 people whom I do not know. My "gang" (friends) had already went inside. I was about to buy some sweets but I was already very very late. So what the heck, I went in. Everyone stared as I went in.

The workshop started. It was worth the 5 dollars we paid XD. We were briefed on how to make ice-cream without the uses of machinery. The person teaching took out a bottle of ~~Nitrous Oxide~~ Liquid Nitrogen (haha woops but i really thought he said Nitrous Oxide) We were given milk? yogurt? Can't quite remember but anyway I strongly agree its milk. We added the flavour of our choice. I picked pineapple. We added the stuff into the solution which was in a cool silver bucket with a saucer. Wei Zhi secretly added a ornage sweet inside. (tic-tac) Hope the teacher doesn't notice.

I think our group wasted the most nitrogen as we HAD to ask the teacher for three servings of nitrogen. We later ate our own handmade icecream yay.
