Choir Camp!

It started on the same day on my Chinese Oral so some people had to be excused to take their Chinese Oral examinations first. And those who aren't in the choir are all like O.o. Why are some people bringing big bags (some were bulky) and sleeping bags.

I think i won't pass my Chinese Oral as I was in a rush but anyway...
The time is up and everyone went into the AVA room. My friend brought sweets which meant to last for about 2 days but unfortunately....the whole group of people asked for him and instead, it lasted for only 2 hours. (Well actually only 30 minutes)

We were then divided into groups: Spirits, Zombies, Rippers and I Phantoms XD
Camp Oritentation was first and we began playing games, learn cheers etc etc

Then we did sectional practice in which the Tenor and Bass practice together "Singapore Medley", a music score which is like very thick, divided into 3 songs. And so after learning 1/3 of the song its lunch time.

HCL people were coming into the canteen too for their break. (The HCL pupils oral had finished) Lunch was a big, long buffet table and a drinks corner with fruit punch which was diluted with too much water and tastes completely like..nothing. And after lunch was another practice..(boring). By the time we finished, it was 5pm. We went down to dinner as the girls started to test their uniforms first (wakaka). Dinner was fried rice with a sunny-side up egg and hash browns. And when we finished eating, guess what? We saw another box of food being carried into the canteen and by the looks of it, was definitely better than what we ate. The drinks were the same, fruit punch. Only with the exception that it was now sweet. So I drank 4 cups o_0. Before we tested our uniforms, the seniors gathered everyone around first and lead them to the classrooms where we would sleep for the night. So the girls and boys were sleeping at opposite ends of the classroom block. We put down our staff, arranged tables to form beds and settled down.

Then we finally went to test our uniforms. The choir leader played some cool piano songs with a piano as everyone tested the uniforms. It took like forever so we began to sing songs. Simple Plan songs. It was like 9pm when we finished and we rushed to the canteen as we were told to go there. We saw from the 3rd floor a campfire being held at the parade square but sadly, it wasn't for the choir but for some weird group. We reached the canteen and the people there were doing what was called the "Friendship Dance". We did nothing and just stand like statues throughout the whole dance. After the dance, the committee and arranged for a "Night Walk" and according to them, they said it was scary. (but was actually not). Everyone had to wait for their respective turns and were given a number. Finally it was our turn. Well it really isn't scary. We had to start of at the D&T block and follow the lightsticks led out. The lightsticks led us to the hall, outside the hall where someguy tried to scared us by appearing at the pillar and acting as a zombie/mummy but we were like 5 meters away from him and we laughed. (oh no we made him feel bad. he was supposed to scare us not to be laughed at o.o). Following the lightsticks, it led us to the 3rd floor, the 4th floor, the 3rd floor again but at where the AVA room is and we reached the ending point.

When everyone completed the "scary" walk, we were brought to the fitness corner to wait for another game which was called the "Caterpillar". This happened at the 1F classroom . The seniors arranged the tables and covered the windows with newspapers. And the goal of the game was to come out of the maze. So my partner and I had to crawl our way around the classroom trying to find the exit. I was leading and my partner and I cheated by using our watches to give out lights to guide the path (which was forbidden). And in the end, we came out of the maze sooner than we expected. The others took a very long time and made us wait till 11pm which by the time, most of the people were at the verge of falling asleep. When everyone finished, it was 1am (WTF!!!). Those who wanted supper, were free to come to the canteen which my friends and I did. FINALLY, we went back to the classrooms, got changed and went to sleep. The seniors wanted to play a game of cards (staying up all night that is) but a teacher came in and watched us for 10 minutes and went off. The seniors were playing cards still and me and my friends played with the lightsticks we brought. (Some seniors thought we took it from the walk). I went to sleep at about 2am. 3am, my friends were wandering around the school ZzZ.

Day Two,6am, most of the campers woke up. Except for the committee and the girls. We washed up and changed (again!). At 7, everyone was awake. First thing on the list was morning exercise which turned out to be push ups. Then it was breakfast. Breakfast turned out to be last night's supper. (Wow) And next, it was sectional practice. We finished the whole 3 songs today and it was games next! Yahoo. Day Two is personally, my favourite. We were advised to wear black as the games have something to do with water. The first game had to do with water bombs. We had to stand on a row of chairs and had to bring the chairs over to the centre of the field without stepping on the ground. Game Two, this was nice and cooling. We had to fill a long tube with water to get a small ball inside, out. Easy? NO! The tube had lots of big holes and it took all the members effort to cover the holes while the others filled the tube with water. Game Three was quite okay, and hilarious. We had to lie down in a straight line and pass around bags which might contain eggs or water and the last person had to throw it into a basket. 2 people got hit by eggs. How unlucky. The forth and last game which is called "X-Men" was not okay. We have to climb up out of a steep slope which was carpeted with plastic. The plastic was covered with mud and to make it worst, it was covered with detergent too, making it almost impossible to climb up.

At the end of the day, everyone was covered with mud and for some people, eggs. It was 4pm and we were allowed to slack around for 2 hours (After cleaning up of course). We packed our bags and started to slack. Some were tired and lied down on our makeshift beds. Some had a race with the teacher's rollable chair. I joined in too. At 6, we made our way to ze canteen for dinner and later, a barbeque. The people in charge of the barbeque laid out the raw food and we began helping ourselves to dinner (fried rice, chocolate cake, fishballs etc). Everyone tried not to eat too much for the upcoming barbeque. The people in charge also poured something into the barbeque fire which turned out to be wax. We were the first to make a barbeque fire as we all blew the fire with our plates so hard that it broke. Overall, the barbeque was nice. Our cook was so bad that most of the food were either burnt or undercooked. (Maybe he failed home econs)
It was almost time to go home. We began sitting in a circle and sing campfire songs. And then came the "Friendship Dance" again. After that, we sang like 3 songs? to the Sec 4s who would be leaving us soon.
And finally, the camp ended. (Well i wished it could have lasted longer)
