Pre-Econs!!!

The Best Spot in Jurong East Library...Ever

I think this spot can be considered one of my 'homes'.
It's like a cross between a cafe and a library.
You can talk, play, eat, drink, study. Not to mention air conditioning!
And the noise level there is really acceptable. Only a few occasional whispers can be heard. Which is really surprising.
The activity room that most libraries have is really CMI.
It's even noisier than the outside of the library, probably because the sound waves can reverberate around the room.

Studied economics for the past two days. I think when I study economics, initially I wouldn't get it. But I can derive many points that are in the notes (and sometimes not in the notes but they do make sense) out of let's say a question.
Gonna have faith that I will do well for econs!
Must not spin my pen and just continue writing. This is probably the key to owning a humanities subject.

Carbon dioxide emissions reach a record high in 2010. Dimming the prospects of limiting the global temperature rise to 2 degrees.

The article never mentioned how much emissions in 2010, but it did mention 30.6 gigatonnes emitted in 2009. The costs of rapid globalisation/industralisation? Woot I have an enviroment example now.

College Day?
Saturday 28 May 2011

Was down for some College Day event and couldn't go DI today...
Justin told me to 'pon' but I don't know...it doesn't feel right.
Got to be responsible since I got chosen by the drawing of lots.
Wouldn't be fair to those fortunate few who became reserves.

So yeah...
Met Zhi and ate this awesome new meal from KFC.
I think its called...KFC BOXMASTER!
It's like the lunch version of the KFC AM TWISTER!

So...College Day.
Pretty much just see the performances, see people getting awards, hear speech and that's it.
Though I think the band and choir's performance is not bad!
Was still kind of sleepy from yesterday's ride and argh I couldn't study during College Day...maybe only abit.
Ended at around 6pm, thought it would drag on longer. Thankfully it didn't.
Ate some Ajisen (too good) and attempted studying (but it failed cause of the new awesome game 'Solomon's Boneyard'.

GP Snippet
'Typhoon approaches Japan, may threaten nuclear plant'
Reading this I kind of feel great pity on the situation of Japan. It seems like more and more unfortunate events come one after another when Japan is down...

GP Down!!
Friday 27 May 2011

Zyeah!
One H1 paper down!
But I find the questions for the comprehension passage to be...a tad harder than the usual questions that teachers will usually give.
For the AQ, I could only find one point..
For the essay, I tried a question which I have never tried before. I hope it answers the question and does not go off topic.

Re-visited Bukit Timah Trail like since what....6 months?
Can't remember exactly how long I haven't cycled.
Was pretty intense.
Is it because the trail is horribly damaged (by erosion) or is it I have become more weak?
I guess it's the latter.
Really enjoyable ride though, takes my mind off things and enjoying nature.

Arc Reactor!!!

Made....this!
Though it's incomplete as of now, it still looks bad ass! (to me at least)

Rapture?
Wednesday 25 May 2011

24/5/11

Matthew 24:23-34 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Was reading this particular chapter during my QT and it really struck me.
With many events happening now seemingly pointing to the end of the world and even 'predictions' as to when the end is nigh.
Which got me thinking, is the end times coming soon?

Anyway just read more news (Straits Times is now my favourite reading material...) and Camping, who wrongly predicted the rapture says it was a miscalculation and that the world really ends in October. Hmm...really? I don't know. He had many wrong predictions such as in 1994. Whoa, Straits Times makes me know alot of stuff.

Lazy day today. Not much stuff accomplished. The heat? Or Economics is too boring to read?

planking!?
Monday 23 May 2011

I guess I shouldn't do pull-ups when I still haven't recovered from Showdown III...
Anyway, there's this new trend of planking that was introduced into Singapore.
It's where you lie face down like a plank in the most random places and snap a photo.
However, some 20 year old Australian died while attempting a stunt by performing a plank on his balcony and fell 7 floors down.
But of course, who would actually plank on something so dangerous?!

Did some planking myself which was really epic heh.
Climbed all the way to the top of a pull-bar and did a plank.
But at what cost?
I was in a rush to get back down and my shirt is now torn.
Ah.....but I guess it was worth it.

Mid Year Examinations coming really soon.
Time to increase the mugging intensity.
Must really achieve my targets this time!

Clouds with Fire
Sunday 22 May 2011

coming on the clouds with fire

Simply beautiful!
I was doing my QT around this time (to prevent myself from sleeping before doing QT) and to also take a break from studying. I decided to look outside the window halfway doing QT and was just stunned by the magnificent view.

Ah...my whole body is aching now.
This is what I get for not stretching (or what they call cooling down) after exercising.
Too many impulses/changing of momentum from the Showdown!
On one hand I like this because it's a sign that my body is pushed to the limit, but on the other hand I don't like it cause it hurts when I move.

the delicious that is Formosa cup noodles!

Woot my mum returned from Formosa and brought back cup noodles!!
Formosa has the most awesome cup noodles. Ever.
Thought I should start another habit of reading up newspapers/articles, though I think this is kind of late since other people have already did this since like J1?
All of these will hopefully enhance my GP powers yeah.

GP snippet:
An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck near a group of South Pacific Islands though currently there is no news of any tsunami generated nor any damage.
Is it me or are there more earthquakes happening this year?

Showdown III!
Saturday 21 May 2011

So tired...yet so fun!
Played touch rugby, which is a new sport to me.
I thought it wasn't fun at first but after playing a few matches, it's not really that bad!
Before the Showdown I was thinking to myself,
"Hm I think I will be in yellow group."
Then I tried asking Justin to check and to my surprise he said
"Yah you are in yellow. No jack"
Whoa seriously?!

Sprinted alot during the matches. I think even more than in frisbee or hockey.
My whole body was aching like after I went home.
Justin said that since it's touch rugby there would be minimal injuries...which is a lie LOL.
Yellow team had the highest number of casualties...
I got knocked in the head by fellow team-mate You Fu but thankfully it wasn't that bad.
I thought I would have a headache after the knock but nope it was all good.

Supposedly today was the so-called Rapture Day or Judgement Day, where the world would end with multiple earthquakes. Nope, nothing happened at all. This came about because of some televangelist called Camping who predicted the end of the world. But if I remember correctly, no one but Him knows when He will return again. I just brushed aside this "end of the world" thing when I first heard it.

Last day...
Friday 20 May 2011

Ah good things don't last forever..
No more Starbucks half-price frapps after this! Nooo!
Wonder when's the next time such an offer will come by again...
Even then NS will make it impossible to get Starbucks...

Had some GP consultation at 2pm initially...
but my teacher was late so it ended around 2.45pm (normally it lasts half an hour)
I predicted that it's gonna be too late to reach Starbucks before a long queue starts...
and I was right.
Reached Starbucks before the weather started turning ugly and somehow we ended up waiting for an hour before we got to order our coffee.
Had an even bigger mass order this time...
even helping teachers buy coffee lol.
Did something stupid.
Zhi passed me 10 bucks ( made of plastic) for me to buy coffee and there was a slight tear on it.
Unconsciously I started playing with it and then it tore into two.
Er....I'm so dead.
Did I just apply a contractionary monetary policy?
Either way I guess I own Zhi 10 bucks.
And no I wasn't trying to attempt a magic trick which some people thought I did -.-

Left Starbucks at prolly 4:15pm.
In my hand, all 3 versions of mocha frap! (how cool)
Dark Normal and White.
Should have taken a photo...that would be so cool!
Just found out that I have to attend College Day, which I seriously don't want to.
It's on a Saturday!! ARGH
But I don't want to "buy" an MC. Firstly, I have never tried it before and secondly, the idea of it sounds wrong.

Energy Crash?
Thursday 19 May 2011

Argh I slept at 9pm or so yesterday.
I think I had an energy crash from Starbucks, which usually happens if I drink coffee sometimes.
I got a huge energy crash only if I drink the Pokka Coffee Milk.
Was so horrible I felt like fainting and had no energy at all.

On Wednesday it was my 2nd day of Starbucks craze.
Yeah tried the Java Chip which was not bad at all!
Bought like some massive order.
5 drinks in total and they do not have carriers anymore!

Wand?!

Saw this cool looking "wand" in Daiso.
Was tempted to buy it but nah....
I had to save money for the Starbucks coffee.
Apparently on Wednesday there was an M1 outage.
I was one of the fortunate few to be unaffected...
but I still had some minor problems sending SMS or even using data plan.
M1 WHY?!!

Thursday...
Made some few breakthroughs today during PE.
For one I achieved 10:50 for 2.4km, which should be lower cause of the obstruction in the track.
Making me lose momentum and turning around every round the track.
Then I think I jumped 270cm with standing broadjump.
But the soles of my shoes slid and I ended up sliding to the 300cm mark.
Some people watching thought I jumped over 300 and gave the O.O face.

NUCLEAR PHYSICS LECTURE.
OMO THIS TOPIC IS LIKE MY FAVOURITE.
Whoa looks like when there's a lecture on your favourite topic you will listen to it attentively.
Very interesting lecture indeed.
As usual got Starbucks after school.
Got some Green Milk Tea Frappuccino, which was great!
But half of it was gone when Liu Xin and Yi Xuan drank some. NOO!

Her eyes her eyes make the stars look like their not shining

@ 9:29 pm

STARBUCKS STARBUCKS GOTTA GET DOWN ON STARBUCKS
Tuesday 17 May 2011

Pursuant to Starbucks' half price off all frappuccinos, I declare the whole of this week "Drink-all-frappuccinos-before-it's-too-late" weekend.

So apparently today is Vesak Day but meh, I don't celebrate it. Although it's great to have a break and sleep more than my usual 5 hours.
Went to Starbucks to study and get my frappuccino heh.
Was very crowded like a library during a school holiday.
But thank God we were able to secure a place.
Whoa seriously everytime I believe that I will find a seat and pray, it happens!
Got my favourite drink of all time, White Chocolate Frappuccino.
Ok maybe its my favourite cause I haven't tried the other flavours yet.
Strawberry and cream looks promising.

Gonna get more frappuccinos after school tomorrow and bringing them back to the cafe.
Starbucks' tables are too small! It's very difficult and challenging to study. I can't remember how many times my GC fell off the table...

I remember, we were walking on to Strawberry Swing.

Monday!
Monday 16 May 2011

Ah how I missed Mondays...
GP lecture after three consecutive weeks...
A very refreshing lecture because there many video clips!
One of which is some cartoon from Bugs Bunny I think...
How nostalgic (again!)
They don't make cartoons like they do nowadays...
To me the current ones pale in comparison to the old cartoons.
Old cartoons are totally random and hilarious and some actions don't make sense, all of these makes up what is good about them.

Ah then another clip was shown which is...argh.
I thought I would never encounter stuff like this after primary school o.o
Apparently I share the same name with a particular actress from China.
Reminds me of the times in primary school...
I would say "THATS NOT ME!!"

Had Physics SPA and I am proud to say it was perfect.
I thought it was like Chemistry SPA where one would find there's lack of time but no, I finished half an hour earlier. I was so bored I took the string they provided to use as a guitar. Seriously? Why is there so much time given?! Kind of regretting doing the experiment like lightspeed as I did in Chem.

PE. Jason who I paced last time to pass his nafpa finally passed today!
What an achievement! His will to pass his nafpa is o.o
But I found out something disappointing about myself...
I find myself having trouble running 12min for nafpa which is seriously bad compared to my usual 2.4 timing. Time to train more?

Nostalgia
Sunday 15 May 2011

How epic is this!

So gonna study in Starbucks for the whole of next week....
if time permits.
Monday is a definite no....
Starbucks should have this more often!
Decrease in price leads to more than proportionate increase in demand!

Feeling nostalgic nowadays when I see/hear stuff.
Amazing how music can bring back a past memory...

For some reason this song "Bohemian Rhapsody- Eagles"
reminds me of my PW days and my last few JC1 months.
Thinking back those days were great but it's all in the past now....sigh.
Adding the fact that my JC2 life is also coming to an end soon makes it...argh.

Justin physco-ed me to play Drift City again.
Reminds me of when I was secondary two...playing this game with alot of memorable people yeah. BUT NO I CAN'T BE ADDICTED TO THIS GAME (AGAIN) ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE MID YEARS!!
Ah the temptations..

You know you know no you don't you don't

@ 11:55 pm

comfort zone

Went out to town today with my mother to eat at Fullerton Hotel with my extended family...
but didn't end up eating there.
My mother couldn't find the place and was like pissed off with the GPS.
Heh I guess this proves something,
we have become too reliant on technology that we can become enslaved by it.
GP question much?
Ended up eating elsewhere cause the buffet ended.

So weird....it's like everywhere I go especially the CBD area I would think to myself,
"I think I cycled here before".

Great sermon and encounter today!
Encounter was especially different...maybe cause a new song was shared?
Sermon was on stepping out of our comfort zones.
I guess it's a preparation for the Love Beyond movement!
"When we do something that makes us uncomfortable, we break through our comfort zones".
How very true...this can be applied to many aspects of my life...
No cell again today but rather had activities with my "Extreme Makeover" group.
Thought up a name for the group..."imPAINTERS"! Which is like a double pun.
Ate at Botak Jones and sigh I can never finish a Botak Jones meal to this date...
maybe if I did extreme PT I may have a chance to finish a meal.

John shared some link on my wall,
how to play Fix You - Coldplay on the piano.
Tried it but....yeah i failed.
Its extremely difficult to play it on the iPhone...my fingers will press 2 keys at once.
Maybe if I had the iPad I could do it.
Nah I think I shall stick to the guitar

@ 1:52 am

Friday 13th?
Friday 13 May 2011

Today's Friday the 13th.
The so called unlucky day...
but meh I don't believe in luck....not anymore. It doesn't exist!

Had Chemistry SPA today and I would like to say it was almost perfect.
Just that I forgot to write one sentence that could prevent me from getting 1 mark.
Seriously the space they give for answering questions is so small.
There's the space of the A4 paper, but only like 1/3 is given for answer.
That's probably why I forgot to write that important statement down.

Very cool weather today. I hope it persists.
Heavy downpour but only briefly in the afternoon but that was good enough to bring the temperature to "acceptable" conditions. Love the cool weather and the breeze it brings!
So PJC has this "Pioneers of the Carribean" contest where you find a clue and it wins you a pair of movie tickets.
Hm I couldn't care less =\
Why do you need to interview winners of the tickets?

Took out my Les Paul today.
One of the rare instances I come back home early and be able to actually touch the guitar.
Feels good jamming worship songs.
Learnt the rhythm part of "One Way" but didn't manage to learn the lead part.
Speaking of which....

I came across this remix from Hillsong London of Till I See You and it's....very weird....and wrong.

You will never ever change,
yesterday today the same

@ 11:11 pm

Half-Heartedness, away with you!
Thursday 12 May 2011

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
I guess there's a reason why quotes are cliche.
Cause it's so very true.

Argh sometimes I hate myself.
I want something but then when I'm nearly going to have it I will have second thoughts.
This happens most of the time.
If I didn't have this feeling, alot of things in my life could have went differently...
For example I would have this dirt jump bike

A Polygon Cozmic DX 3.0 2009 edition at like 60% off.
Yeah and now there's totally no way of getting another model like this.
The new models especially 2011 suck so bad...

Decent temperature today....finally!
Bring on the rain! It's not really that hot anymore to the extent where you can blame almost anything on the heat.
Had the final physics lecture on Quantum today and the lecturer showed 3 videos, of which 2 were very epic. One was some Indian accent video and another was some weird floating chrome head explaining quantum while doing ridiculous stuff such as going off screen for no reason and appearing in close-up shots.

So apparently the drinks stall started selling this Red Tea,
which is basically black tea with sugar.
Tastes great!
Tried turning it into a milk tea drink.
So I grabbed some left over soy bean milk
(bad idea)
and mixed it in...

The colour looks like milk tea!
Unfortunately the taste wasn't like milk tea at all.
It was horrible.
I guess I know why there's no such thing as soy bean milk tea.
Felt nauseous when I took a sip. Argh

Frisbee!
Just downloaded this game.
Really fun and at first I was laughing while playing this game cause it's kinda ridiculous.
Playing this game makes me realise how much I miss playing frisbee hmm...

SPA tomorrow..
I hope I don't screw up the chemicals

Last Long Weekend :(
Monday 9 May 2011

Today marks the last day of the three consecutive long weekends :(
Why can't Vesak Day be on next Monday?
Then there will be like a month of long weekends

No school today yet I was near school this morning...
Went for some 5km run through the canal in the morning but ended up running around 4.5km I guess. Ate some banana for breakfast. Wonder why so many athletes eat bananas...
Did some research and found out that it is very nutritional!
Funny how after I finished running the sun came out of the clouds and began shining till no end.

Went to study with Zhi today but was unable to find ANY table seats.
Yup it's virtually impossible to find any vacant spots at all during a school holiday in the library.
Everywhere is jammed pack with students.
And I saw alot of people sitting on the floor.
Ended up seating in some comfy chair which makes me really sleeeeepy.
Decided to have early dinner and then this amazing thing happened.
I prayed that when we go back to the library we will be able to find seats.
Sure enough when we went back, we decided to split up to find seats.
The first area I sweeped and I found 2 seats. No less no more. Exactly 2 seats.
The power of prayer!

Unproductive today. Can I blame it on the weather?
Gonna try wearing my new reflective badge tomorrow. Wonder if it will go unnoticed...

I knew a girl in shades of blue

Literally "Sun" Day
Sunday 8 May 2011

Had a weird dream today...
Dreamt I was in this sort of home...
Can't remember if it's an elderly or children's home...
I think I was helping out there.
Meh everything else was blurry.

Short service today.
About one hour and the worship was pretty hyped up.
The worship leaders were energetic and danced while singing. Funny ttm!
Message was something about how God looks at the heart and not like men who look on the outside. Meaningful especially when you have negative thoughts and doubts about your ability.
Remember that God chose you!

Played some Taboo before heading off to mug.
Argh I realised how I suck in Taboo.
I remember I was quite good but...nah I just couldn't find the words to describe that word.
Headed off to CCK to study and yeah as usual it was really packed.
WHATS WITH THE WEATHER?!
Ate some Ajisen ramen! for early dinner...prolly about 4pm with Zhi.
Tried the Miso Vegetable Ramen and wow is it good!
I think every ramen there is good.
Note to self: NEVER ADD CHILLI POWDER TO MISO SOUP
I think i just killed my ramen when I did that...

Went back to activity room and it became super noisy -.-
Basically there were 2 groups of Koreans talking super loud, completely oblivious to the "Please keep quiet" sign.
I had my fair share of super noisy people in the library partying (partying yeah) in the library and like totally NOT doing work. But I did nothing and just put in my earphones. This time it was different. Helped myself and the other users and looked for the libarian.
Seriously, if you want to come to Singapore to study, please be a good representative of your country and not create a bad impression.
Alot of people were staring and creating that loud SSSSH sound but no they just ignored it and went on making a ruckus.

Went home and immediately....did this!
Got to thank Zhi for giving me the inspiration heh.
"Why not use those shiny origami paper primary school students use?
"Yeah why not?"

Silver reflective!

This has got to be my new favourite...
Its so shiny and its acts a little bit like a mirror.
Too.Cool.
Time to scout for some glow-in-the-dark paints to create a badge for night study. It will be epic.

What's up with the weather? It's like 32 degrees at night!

@ 11:47 pm

love beyond self
Saturday 7 May 2011

Had a short sermon today but still powerful.
A continuation on Love Beyond!
Had no cell today but rather had discussions on Love Beyond and some bonding activities.
Learnt that that for Extreme Makeover, it's not just about painting the walls but there's more to it.
Saw a slideshow on the expected living conditions the houses would be and they are certainly terrible. It looks unlivable! Soot covered walls that are so black and pest infested houses. Also learnt about how some of them would turn violent on the last day cause they don't want the people to leave :(

Saw this when we left WAC and its BEAUTIFUL!
Why do I dig sunsets lol.
Whenever I try to take a picture of a sunset, my camera can never capture the "fullness" of it sigh.

Apparently election results will be released today...
but at a rather late time I think.

Woot addicted to this song.
Jet Lag - Simple Plan feat. Natasha Betingfield
Great that Simple Plan is releasing another album since their last album which is when I was Secondary Three I think.
Love Simple Plan...
Reminds me of the times I grew up during secondary school listening to them

You say good morning, when it's midnight

epic-long--trilogy-post-which-shall-not-be-named
Friday 6 May 2011

Omo time to recap the last three days and the start of a long weekend!

Wednesday
Had some sexuality talk for assembly and I think it's a waste of time (as usual).
Basically all of these talks are the same more or less.
Except this one in particular is....more disturbing/interesting?
I think its the former.
Shall not go in depth with it.
The talk contains disturbing and explict images...

Went home and this girl who I have probably never seen before (i think shes secondary three or four) said hello to me.
Ok not exactly said cause I was wearing earphones and I sort of lip read what she was saying.
Then there was this 5 second awkward stare.
I was trying hard to recognise this person but....nope nothing.
Could it be someone from amazingrace? I don't know lol.

Thursday - Pseudo Monday
Something embarrassing and to a certain extent funny happened to me today.
So I was helping my friend to pass his napfa and be his pacer.
And it so happened that the school is destroying the natural field to change it to an ASTRO TURF and they fenced the outer perimetre of the field.
Was jogging the first lap and then I was following this guy in front of me.
Then Mr Kwok shouted something that may have went like
"OI DON'T RUN INTO THE FIELD"
I was like huh?!
Then I realised there's like a pathway that leads into the field and I blindly followed the guy into it. I think the pathway is meant for the vehicle!
Justin saw it and he ROFLed -.-

Putting that aside I was spurring my friend on to pass his 2.4.
Is this considered edification?
Anyway it feels great to shout out encouragements but alas he failed.
He was doing great for the 5 rounds but gave up on the last.
Quite a pity though...
Nevertheless, it was a good effort.

Had photo-taking later that day.
As usual there will be guys in the toilet styling their hair.
"Should I style my hair?"
Then again my hair is already naturally spiked.
But I went ahead to spike anyway.
Took like a 5cent amount of moving rubber and strengthened the spikiness
Spike + Spike = More Spike?
While having the class photo taking I can't help but think of s20 again....
argh damn PJ

Lent Justin my golden badge while he took his class photo. WHY DIDNT I WEAR IT TOO?!
Ahh guess it's too late.
Le Fa went ahead to wear his Red Bull Tab Badge which I had already forsaw. Epic.

went to look at the green bean seeds Justin planted and...
I thought it would be more obvious like...
the whole school will be filled with green beans. I was wrong lol.
Had some scrambled eggs for a snack and I couldn't decide whether it should be eaten with a fork or a spoon...and Kenneth didn't want to help me clear my plate argh.
Thursday was almost like a Monday in the sense that school ended late that day.
Had some remedial GP lecture from 5-6.30pm. Super tired.

Friday Friday?
No chem practical today but....
There's some filming! Apparently for some MOE stuff.
Half of the class had to do titration and I was bored...
so I made rainbow chemicals.
Originally started with just yellow and purple but soon (and very soon)...

Cool to the max!
Then they annouced that the footage will be shown on College Day.
Omo...the horror..

Had some so called compulsory GP consultation in the afternoon which I almost forgot.
If not for Matthew L I would have skipped the consultation.
Kenneth totally forgot about it so it became solo consultation.
Was quite surprised that I actually had alot of questions to last me half an hour.
Though at some point in time I got distracted and I think I asked some ridiculous question...
Surprised that I can recognise people with my peripheral vision.
Either that or...

Bought ice-cream sticks today and finally got about making some weapon replica from the game
MONSTER HUNTER!
probably the best game ever cause it forms bonding between friends heh
It's incomplete now cause I cant decide what to use for that weird necklace thing hanging around the hilt of the sword...
Then I have to think how do i make it into a keychain hmm..
And i just realised why there's such a thing as wood glue!
I think it's cause other types of glue will just be absorbed into the wood.
Meh my DnT days are so long ago.

people moving, all the time
inside a perfectly straight line,
don't you wanna curve away?

2/3 of a long weekend
Tuesday 3 May 2011

Nothing beats coming back to school after a long weekend and missing a Monday!
However there's something about Mondays that make me miss them....

Such as that mystery low frequency sound I will always hear during Physics pratical.
I think it's around 10Hz.
Yeah strangely enough I can hear 10Hz sound o.o
(I know this cause I'm so bored that I hear these sounds)
But it gives me headaches as it feels like it's screwing up my head.
Maybe that sound originates from some idle vehicle.
Yeah I think that's probably it.
But I certainly don't miss the freakishly long hours Mondays give me.

Saw the =3 video today
=3 is a show where the host reviews viral videos, oh and not to mention the host will add in humourous comments.
There's one video where some poor (or should it be lucky?) guy gets struck by lightning...twice.
I know its possible to survive a lightning strike (called a flashover i think) but twice? I don't know.
Video seems fake though.
Another video that caught my attention cause it's so funny. It's a video of a Metal singer doing vocal exercises (Metal singers do vocal exercises?!).

Time to get some shut eye

High up above, or down below.

Friendship
Monday 2 May 2011

Today's ODJ talks about friendship...
and i find this devotion to be quite interesting and meaningful.
Have I been a good friend?
The devotion talks about friends going all the way to help one another, to spur each other on,
celebrating with one another and dreaming together.
Much like Jonathon and David in 1 Samuel.
Perhaps I should follow Jonathon's example...

Holiday today! Can't remember which holiday it is though.
I think it's Labour Day.
Spent my afternoon finishing up Quantam Physics and starting on Normal Distribution.
I find normal distribution to be.....harder than Poisson and Binomial zzz.
Took out my acoustic guitar again
(lazy to set up electric guitar)
and just jammed for about a good 1 hour and a half which is my limit or should i say threshold my fingers can take.

On a side note, news about Osama's death was spread today.
Finally the supposed leader of the Al Qaeda is dead and apparently USA is kicking celebrations to full-swing.
However, although Osama is dead I can't help but think that it won't solve anything.
About the terrorist war that is ongoing.
Another leader would just step up and take his place and the cycle would just go on...

May
Sunday 1 May 2011

Can't believe that May is already here!
I honestly don't remember my J1 life passing this fast...
perhaps with the consistant mugging and all time seems to pass through so fast.
5 months more to go...am I ready yet?

Was mugging physics all night.
Quantum physics I.
Part of the so called trilogy of quantum physics.
My first impression of quantum physics was : it's really hard.
I was inclined to believe this because of what Grant Imahara (One of Mythbuster's host and 1/3 of the Build Team) confessed during some myth they tested.
Well so far I'm taking it easy. People say II & III will be the harder parts of quantum.
Will this be true? Hmm...

Study companion of the night

Haribo Cola Gummies!
They are freaking nice!
Courtesy of Matthew Wong (thanks!)
Yupi Gummies can never compare to Haribo.
Speaking of which I wonder where I can get my hands on some Haribo gummies...

Another Tempest Freerunning Academy I came across while browsing Youtube.
SO COOL!
Very inspirational for parkour/freerunning.
I remember I could do backflips last time....but I lost that ability argh
