woot not sick anymore!
my voice is finally stable and does not like go off tune unintentionally anymore
some horses may have a home in my voice

got back my chemistry paper first thing in the morning...
got 34/70
didnt meet my C expectation
34/70 is like an E
1 more point to a D
huh i just realised none of my subjects have made it to a C yet

got econs essay back
and failed
apparently my first part of the essay passed
but my second part failed
irrelevant answer it seems
and just like that i failed econs paper 2
to pass econs my paper 1 have to be really imba
chances of that are....
small

so anyway PJ had this career seminar thing
apparently i couldnt skip this and follow along for pitch training
i would rather watch hockey than attend this career thing
waste of time as expected
though its interesting
slept through halfway
but woken up suddenly when they played a video
the speaker played some video unrelated to what he is sharing
its about this comedian sharing....

girls are always thinking
they think none stop
but guys can do one thing girls cant
maybe they cant do it cause if they did they will malfuction or something
guys can stare off into space for 15 minutes
and not a single thought is in their mind

totally agree what this guy is saying...
the latter part anyway
this guy just described stoning
which im too familiar and guilty of doing
it is a big procrastination

release of physics paper tomorrow...

still sick but not so bad
i managed to kill 1 packet of tissue today only
went through physics paper 1
i thought it was easy
turns out i'm wrong
lots of trick questions and ended those i thought i would have gotten correct wrong
everything is never as it seems

oh and forgot to mention a WDJD moment yesterday
during GP lecture the lecturer showed some of
Da Vinci's works and it includes
The Last Supper
the scene before He was betrayed and died
and i was reminded of a reflection i did in Inside Out Camp
which is to finish the gospels
come to think of it why didnt i finish the gospel?
im left with Luke at chapter 7
why didnt i finish it?
was thankful for the reminder

getting back Econs, Chem and probably Physics tomorrow
not sure if i should be optimistic or not...

woohoo!
i just realised one advantage of having a daily update
during cell i can share more of my week
usually i will forget then my sharing is quite superficial
so yeah i can just read the week in review and share moar

first off GP lecture in the morning
finally got our seats back in the LT!
and the annoucement that was made
"GP scripts released next week"
aww i was looking forward to getting them back
lecture on the arts
and had some "film screening" of cut
i think i watched it before

got back maths and....
didnt meet my C target
got 50/100
which is a D
as i looked through i saw alot of mistakes
all of that can make a difference for a D-C
or even a C-B
lost a ton of marks to P&C and probability
i swear these topics are freaking difficult
not so bad anyway
it could have been worse

chem lecture...
by the far the most quietest lecture i've ever been in
after the lecture i feeling abit half sick
well actually i think i got sick since friday but im feeling the effects now
nose continuously running like a g6
funny how after i said i not fall sick easily i fall sick after 3 days?

was walking to physics practical when kenneth suddenly called my name
i looked around and....
lets just say i saw my crush
and my biological drummer begins drumming a 200bpm song
my thought process was like this

meh i suck at this
sometimes i dont know what do i really want

rest of the day was baddd
classes in air con room when you are sick are no good
they are never good!
i killed 3 packets of tissues easily

nothing much happened today
went to cut my hair
my hair cycle is like monthly
it takes a month for it to grow out of shape
sure i can choose not to cut after one month but
i will get owned by teachers really bad

anyway there are some disadvantages for long hair...
for me at least
for one it gets messed up really easily
like by wind, wearing something over your head
which is why i try not to wear those pullovers when my hair is long
yeah i will wear those zip hoodies

monday tomorrow
will some results get released?

saturday is just the best!
i can repeat this alot of times and it doesnt get old...

this week's sermon was about.....
being a minister of God
nothing new but it does leaves some food for thought
encouraging others and being there when they need it
totally love encounter/worship time
especially since it has"Freedom Is Here"
the second worship song i came to know
feeling His presence was just amazing

on to cell time
discussed the week and meeting the needs
and then off to dinner!
clementi mall fully opened with its upper floors
at first when i stepped out of Clementi station i was surprised
why CAN i see the mall?
usually i cant cause its blocked off by some wall
did the mrt station perhaps moved down?
or the mall moved up?
but nah
they connected the second floor of the mall to the mrt passageway
quite innovative

had dinner at long john silver's
been a long time since i ate there
bought some new breaded fish set (it tasted good!)
and went to buy each-a-cup
cant help but think
did i subconsciously influenced some of kairos to like each-a-cup?!
ah and i shouldnt eat fast food with my throat being sore
too much imitating of "death metal friday"

Jon's a genius!
never thought about hiding my milk tea in the fast food drink holders
it makes you look like you are consuming their drinks
especially since long john has a gung-ho cleaner
that chases people who bring outside food into long john
went to BK to join with the rest and talked alot about night games
apparently Matthew shared alot of their (BB) camp's night walk
WOW THEY ARE REALLY GOOD
the night walk as Matthew described it was scary and very innovative
all the time i was thinking how great a horror game/movie it would make
sigh why dont the camps i attend have such night walks!
started going home around 9.30pm
wow time really passes by so fast

at this point as i think about eternity
spending everyday with the company of DI
how awesome would that be?

anyway i realise my right eye has been twitching ALOT
scientific reason points to lack of sleep and too much caffeine
which is kinda true
mythical chinese stuff points to good luck
but come to think of it i had some left eye twitches (signifies bad luck) too
doesnt matter to me anyway
Andy told me luck doesnt exist
which i tend to believe with his statement
if God is in control of our lives and knows what is going to happen
does luck exist?
no it doesnt

oh look at that its 1am..

had physics as my last paper
was a total killer
1st paper was not so bad...
only a few questions cant do
but the 2nd paper was on a whole new level...
7 questions...
i did some difficulty ranking before starting the paper
flipped and flipped
and they were all hard

felt like giving up but i keep reminding myself i have to do it
luckily im not the only one who found the paper hard
lots of people found it hard
hopefully there's moderation

having a severe headache now
must be the training under the super hot sun

had chemistry paper today
well to be honest i did not put alot of effort into my sciences
mostly pumped on maths and econs
but i do hope i can meet my straight Cs target for CT

chem paper was...
well i don't know how to describe it
lets see..
i did not manage to finish my paper
i rushed through section B (30 marks "essay")
didn't care whether its right or wrong i just wrote
but still couldn't finish it
some reactions make me think
"is there even such a reaction?"

not so bad anyway
i think a C is manageable..if not a D
physics tomorrow...
i dont recall touching it for revision at all!
AHHH

side note:
a 6.8 magnitude hit Myanmar like very recently
is the world really coming to an end?!

today is maths paper day
2 more papers to go after this one
went to school at around 11am
with IoI milk tea bought yeah
i guess this is a standard practice for afternoon papers
i did this for 'o' levels too
for an afternoon paper i will go to school in the morning for "warm up"
it works!
rather than entering a paper without doing any questions beforehand
that will feel really weird

zhi got sick today
maybe cause of the 2 burgers he ate yesterday?
anyway bought panadol for him at the bookshop
yes PJ's bookshop sells panadol
i was surprised to know of this
and it took 1 hour for him to feel the effect
wow that is really slow
or some weak panadol
i realised that im blessed with a great immune system...
i dont fall sick with minor illnesses
and if i do get sick its because of something major..
like last year i had some chest infection that put me out for 2 weeks
how do you get chest infection anyway?

on to the paper
i don't know if its me but
its an easy paper
i find myself finishing it in 1hr 45 min
but of course there are questions i could not
by any means do
such as the dreaded probability and P & C
but looks like im not the only one
BUT
if its an easy paper
that means those pro people will own us all

chemistry tomorrow...
gonna extreme QT then study..

ahh common tests resume today
first up is economics
started the day with a bad start
i thought i saw the number "975"
so i boarded the bus
turns out it wasnt "975" after all
i should have known when no pioneers boarded the bus
and when the bus didnt turn right but rather left
alighted the bus and saw it was "927"
i swore i saw 975!
how did it become 927?!

so decided to walk to school instead
i guess God wanted me to exercise more
anyway walking is cool
and i get to listen to more worship songs
reached school and i was sweating to no end
anyway economics was great
i actually found the paper easy
i could be wrong
but if its really easy
there might be moderation
stronger students will get to win

stayed back in school after the paper to mug maths
studied vectors: planes
from almost nothing i covered pretty much most of planes in about....3 hours?
i spent some time sleeping (unintentional again!)
and woke up with a jerk
those type of dreams where you are falling and when you land you jerk abit
i swear those dreams are so real

no paper tomorrow,
but im gonna go back to study
i feel like a mugger

today is saturday!
and its ROFL day!
rolling on four legs
DI's rollerblading event!
so hyped up!

went to east coast park
but it was raining really heavily!
and the rain was on and off
so we played games in and out of the shelter
really fun!
took out my frisbee and let it have some sand...

had to commend justin and rachael for their planning efforts
without which there would not be this awesome event!
prayed for good weather and what do you know
the weather cleared for the rest of the day!
i realise this always happens...
like Inside Out Camp's dragonboat Z
and any other DI event outside
the power of prayer!!

and wow this is my second time skating/blading
was rather surprised i could still skate
and better than my first time!
i remembered the first time i learnt how to skate
also at ecp
with yixuan/bob teaching me
ok not really teach, he just taught me the basics and left me hanginnnn'
alot of strangers were laughing when i fell
but you know what?
falling down is a process of learning

God's presence was strong today and i could feel it
i could achieve feats i couldnt before
like suddenly how come my hammer throw became good
or how i could do the T-brake

ended at around 7pm
lepak-ed around ecp
went to jurong east to eat some western food stall called astons
i didnt know yew tee had astons
i was ashamed argh

and reached home at around 11pm
feeling all tired
but a day well spent with DI!
yes even though CT is 2 days away but...
if we seek first His kingdom, all things will be given to us

19th march was a super moon!

Gotta Get Down On Fried Egg

yeah its from some new "song" that has been circulating around youtube like crazy
and i wouldnt really say its a song
monotonous and heavily auto tuned
and the lyrics are ROFL material!

anyway went to study again...
as usual at school
but not before buying IoI milk tea
(couldnt resist noooo!)
studied a broad range of subjects
i remembered what mr thai said about studying just one subject per day
its not as effective as studying a broad range of subjects
thats why our timetables are like that
you dont see a day especially for physics or something

went to lot 1 after that
studied in cck library
huh...unusually packed unlike monday-thursday
had to settle for the sofa...
and unlike jurong east library,
the sofa is FREAKING UNCOMFORTABLE
i got multiple numbness and cramps just using the sofa

went to limbang after that for dinner
me zhi and yee hwee walked to limbang
(come on we walked from lot 1 to kranji countless times lol)
kenneth and gang said "NO!"
and wanted to take 302
and...
the race was on!
needless to say we won

was greeted with this view as we walked to limbang
yeah its nice!

studied at mcdonalds until 10pm and went home

full moon tonight!

tomorrow is ROFL day!

17 DEC - Econs Day
yup i dedicated thursday to econs
spent my time in sch reading up the whole package on inflation unemployment recession....
seriously reading humanities notes makes you feel tired
forcing myself to read stuff i dont like argh

then went i took a break to read some starcraft
whoa i read much faster than when i read econs

went to eat after that at lot 1
tried the yong tau fu there at food culture
not that bad
but cant own yew tee's

after that went to the library's activity room
my favourite place
and thats where i realised my earphones had spoilt
WHAT?!
it was working fine minutes ago!
seriously all my in earphones spoil within a year
so i went to popular to buy new earphones
and strawberry tea at cheers (its nice)

man i wish a levels will be over soon and very soon
on a side note: LOL's green milk tea is nice!

16 DEC
supposed to have a hockey match today but
i overslept
woke up and the sky was unusually bright
first thing i did was jump out of bed and reached for my phone
8:12am
ok gg
there is definately no way i can reach redhill in time
besides i was supposed to be there at 7:40
so heck i went back to sleep

overslept cause yesterday i did not set my alarm
too tired

woke up again at around 11am
yes fatigue and tired-ness gone!
went for the so called emergency econs remedial my econs teacher/CT Mdm Loh had
my teacher went through essay writing on inflation
i bet that is SO gonna come out
why would there be an emergency remedial if not so?
and as always
Mdm Loh will digress after the teaching
talking about japan
nuclear reactors and what not
how it will affect the economy

well i guess its not digressing if its related to econs?
had a break and after that talked about....policies to solve inflation?
something about appreciating the currency
and some marshall-lerner condition
oh and it rained so heavily
and lightning was spammed

went to the cafe after the lesson was over
and i took this opportunity which i dont get everyday to ride around the school
did some drifts (which i had not done for a very very long time)
rode around with john and matthew
yeah so cool
you dont get to do this all the time

mugged maths and then went to eat dinner at 5pm
rained stopped and it began to shineeee
had some zha jiang mien
the smell puts one off
but the taste is a different story
its totally colossial
went to study in cck library till closing time after that
ah so productive

i just realised writing blog posts is like writing narrative essays
in a not so formal way
well you dont get to write narratives anymore once you step out of secondary school
so this is kinda refreshing

well i never thought this would happen but....
i had a case of sleep deprivation on the holidays
JC does alot of things to you..

anyway looks like i have lots of days to post
i always sleep earlier than i intended to
without brushing teeth doing qt and writing post (again and again!)
gonna pour out everything i can remember

14 DEC - OVERNIGHT STUDY/MUGGING CAMP
oh but before that i have some morning chem remedial
yes it was on a monday
and for some stupid reason i ended up being late for chem remedial
so i lost my keys in my house
and no one else was at home
the door was unlocked
but i cant leave my house without locking the door
i realised this 20 min prior to my remedial
how screwed am i
so i spent like the next half an hour searching every possible place where i may or may not have left my keys
and obviously i didnt find them

11:10am
so im getting really desperate to the point of using paper clips to try to lock my door
if anyone saw me doing that they would say/think
"what the heck are you doing"
indeed i looked stupid doing it
i spent a good 10 min trying to lock the door
well its not like im totally clueless as how to pick a lock using a paper clip
i had some theory from discovery channel
yeah only some

11:30am
i gave up
heck i even threw my paper clip to the floor
i looked at the door
then at the paper clip
then my bike
then the door
then my bike
then my bicycle lock

at that moment if you placed a lightbulb over my head it would have lighted up
WHY DIDNT I THINK OF IT BEFORE
i felt like slapping myself

so i took the bike lock and locked my door and with my bike
rushed to school...
reached arcadia at 11:45am
yup im definately screwed
ms koh asked me why i was late
yeah and i gave my unbelieveable reason
at least i didnt lie...
and it made the whole class laugh

8:30pm
met tin and justin at yew tee to stock up supplies for the "camp"
i guess this is becoming a ritual
having overnight camps during holidays
spamming snacks/drinks/red bull
stocked up alot of cup noodles
potato chips
and some funky drinks

9:30pm
reached my house
if an outsider were to see whats happening,
they would have thought its not a study camp but a party camp
yeah literally alot of food/drinks
piled them up and took pictures
the photographer of the day/night is justin

10:00pm
hence commences the camp
like the usual it started off with red bull
and then started mugging maths

15 DEC - BURNING THE MIDNIGHT RED BULL
at this point we're started to digress a littleeee
justin started to play sc2
me included
then got back to studying
...
soon after that the guitar is out and the jamming begins
yeah at night
and then back to studying again

2:00am
justin and zhi went for their 2nd dose of red bull
me?
well i didnt take it cause i wanted to save it for later in the afternoon
hockey match and all
at this point its a test of endurance

4 am i think?
i dont know what happened.
i slept and the next thing i know...

9:00am
well looks like justin and zhi slept too
and this is amazing
i had only 5 hours of sleep
yet i felt so alive
like i have been born again
justin and zhi left at 11am
then i prepared for the hockey match
with 5 hours of sleep

i didnt think i could do it but yeah
even with 5 hours of sleep i still got energy to run/sprint

went home just fell asleep on the bed

a lil something to add on to my night riding adventures
i realised that there are certain parts of the world that sit in absolute darkness
i guess that can be said the same for people?
which all the more strengthens the fact that we have to be the lightgivers to the world

sunday is my weekly study at cck library day
with the same people
zhi, kenneth yee hwee
but today kenneth's friend came along
woops i forgot her name!

anyway yeah this marks my mad rush for my common test
grasp and curry sauce (i dont like ketchup) my weak subjects
did chemistry today
and then went to eat ajisen with zhi
man i love ajisen ramen
totally owns
i guess i have to thank zhi and justin for this

studied till 8
then went to buy IoI milk tea
or i would like to call LOL milk tea
how do you pronounce IoI anyway?
LOL cafe is an imitation of KOI cafe
i've never tasted KOI before
(although i really want to but the long queue puts me off)
but LOL is really ok
the milk tea is like.....wow
the straw design i guess is the same
so is the look on the outside and the sign!!

some random thought
i just realised how SIMILAR the music videos for Fix You and What Do You See are
both features the lead singers walking around some scenic places and singing
both employs the use of bokeh
and then running off somewhere to......
perform in front of an audience

who knows which came first
im lazy to find out
but of course i would prefer coldplay
both are nice
but i still prefer coldplay

woohoo!!
another saturday has come!
saturday is probably the only day of the week i feel so excited about
the best day of the week!
DI day!

so today had to go church early for some XD
ate mcdonalds
cant remember the last time i ate macs seriously
today's message was encouragement!
which i think is the same as edification?
i could be wrong

anyway today kairos only had 5 people!!
quite surprising...
most went for bb camp
cell with 5 people was kinda weird haha

as soon as i reached home...
i went out night cycling
also cant remember the last time i went night riding
freakin' cool
it takes my mind off things and allows me to relax
the cool air and night scenary
and also a chance to try my new bike light
(which fails terribly)

there....cant see anything at all!
only lights up like i dunno
a small patch?
the camera wasnt strong enough to pick it up
and my cyclocomp looks really eerie at night

went trail riding with john
the trail at night is simply fascinating
really cool
not like in the day
but couldnt go further because...
light too noob
like seriously cant see anything in the dark
so returned home

speaking of bike stuff..
i wonder why i haven't go this yet
the jersey im looking forward to getting since last year
its freaking nice
but the shop that sells it is like really far
1hr ride from my house...


if only they have the 3G version

so an earthquake in japan happened today...
i think it registered an 8.9?
different sources gave different values
anyway i felt sad for the japanese
in an instant lives are lost
and the danger of nuclear reactors melting down is not pleasant either
wanna pray for them
for the survivors that are trapped under rubble
for the rescuers to find the victims
for japan to recover from this major disaster

at the time the earthquake happened i guess i just finished my GP paper?
speaking of which
i wonder how i fare for my GP paper
for subjects like math and science
you know how well you did at the end of the paper
as for subjects for GP and econs....
well you know when you get it back

compo was great!
did the crime question and i could think up many points and arguments
compre....not so much
questions are phrased really weirdly
i hope do i well for GP...
like any exam,
random songs will get stuck in my head
for me its not good cause...

arghhh oh no!
yesterday i unintentionally fell asleep...
without writing a daily post, doing extreme QT, brushing teeth and even dressing my wound
evidence of my accumulated fatigue...

so anyway today we had this "motivational" speech given by
PJ's counsellor....whom I have never seen before....really.
many english mistakes haha
not really good especially since GP exam is tomorrow
and halfway through his speech I could have thought he was preaching

came to a conclusion that
_____ is the best lecturer. ever.
well I cant remember his name
and i searched the year book but cant find his photo.
oh well maybe the name will come back to me...

he is able to capture the audience
and his teaching methods are weird and funny
but they have content in them
if you ask me what's a memorable thing in PJ many years down the road
I will be able to answer that
alot of jokes in his lecture
i like the "cowboy fight" example
and his life lesson

"never neglect your girl"

wow looks like my minimum 4 lines is easy to beat
i guess its natural?
and i wonder if i should keep a dream log....

looks like I forgotton the very purpose why this blog is created..
its to remind myself what happened everyday when i look back from the future and say
"wow! did that really happen?"
we cant possibly remember what happens 100% everyday

hence I shall devote a minimum of 4 sentences per day...
sort of like a twitter style and develop the momentum of writing a blog entry everyday


so...it's tuesday,
approximately 2 more weeks to common test
started off this tuesday with a wonderful breakfast
some awesome toast made by my dad and the usual milk tea I buy from Cheers everyday
I think I give alot of revenue to Pokka LOL
but I dunno what's happening
I feel the fatigue accumulating and the effects are taking its toll
I find myself sleeping/stoning in class more often
in maths remedial I stoned for quite a long time

my wounds from napfa havent heal yet too
causing sudden sharp pains sometime
hm looks like i overshot 4 sentences!
off to extreme QT and then sleep!
