Well received an sms this Friday as I was in the middle of preparations to book out. I missed a phone call and I suspect it was to inform me in addition to the sms. I got invited to an interview with NUS Faculty of Science! (or FoS for short. The name is also badass) Was elated upon receiving that sms but that seems to suggest my 1st and 2nd choice of engineering didn't make it? Nevertheless, I'm grateful to even have an opportunity to have this discretionary admission (sounds abit sneaky though). Besides the engineering courses I selected are related to physics one way or the other. One thing weird about this is that I don't recall even filling out the discretionary admission part of the application form, and they say that if one does not fill that up, they will not consider you for the discretionary admission.
So, I made preparations for the interview by asking around other people who went for interviews. Got alot of good advice and I think I know more or less what is going to go down on the interview. Never have been in an interview before (excluding NS). This does seem to remind me of OP, where my PW group was the only group to be judged by a panel of Cambridge assessors. Do really hope I can ace this interview.
Had an interesting sermon yesterday. A sermon of hope and the preaching of hope to yourself. Gotta tidy up my notes on the sermon though. Many months of not writing have made my notes taking skill deprove greatly.
Justin, Wei Zhi and me went to talk about jamming stuff on Saturday night and then what we are going to buy at the end of year. Decided to buy a Gibson Hummingbird! Heard positive reviews on it and who would deny that it looks pretty good? Justin wanted to buy acoustic guitar and electric guitar and drumset. Wow that seems like alot to buy. Thankfully I already have an epic electric guitar heh.

Saw this photo on Facebook that made me LOL. A picture about the Hunger Games. Sung to the tune of LMFAO's "I'm Sexy and I Know It"

Well it has been a great week. This block leave made me taste even if for a moment, what it feels like to
ORD. The freedom away from military life. I think I'm going to miss my civilian life again.
Posted to armour HQ to be a tank operator. Heard it's going to be great, with the simulation training and
minimal number of field camps (according to what they said during the armour interview). Kind of glad that I didn't get posted to command school, contrary to what most people would feel. I realised that I don't really want to go there and I don't really have a solid reason to want to go to command school. Don't really mind being a MAN for the remainder of NS
heh.

Some of the week highlights (lazy to put in chronological order)
Learned how to ride clipless and it felt like learning how to ride a bike again
BFF day!
2nd Jamming of the week! (1st jamming kinda failed cause there no slots so we had to impromptu jam acoustically at Chinese Garden. Contingency plans ftw!). Jeremy mentioned something about live band performance at Fish & Co. Something I wouldn't mind doing after ORD since we have so much free time then. Got to improve on vocals though
Playing frisbee in the dark, occasionally charging up the glow and throwing it.
Dinner at Yue Mun's house prepared by Matthew! Honestly that was one of the nicest home-cooked food (and it's western!) I've tasted. Maybe I'm easily satisfied haha. Home-cooked food tastes nice to me no matter what.
