As I continue to fast and my platoon mates inevitably find out why I'm not consuming my lunch, God has perhaps opened up my eyes to see what non-believers or people think about fasting and Christianity. The responses I garnered tend to be interesting heh.

Questions like isn't fasting a Muslim thing or doesn't fasting constitute one whole day of not eating. One even said I'm not fasting religiously because (and I quote) 'other people are not doing it'. It seems one of the first things we need to do when reaching out is to break down these delusions that they have and pray for their hearts and minds to be open and not blinded by the modern world's ideas and spirituality.
